Hi!! My name is Lauren, but I go by the artist name of Scarlett. I’m a part time music producer and a full time Mum based in Eastleigh in the south of the UK.
I started violin lessons at the age of 7 and I started piano lessons and writing songs at the age of 11. I also loved studying music both at school and at college .
Over the years I have been involved in many extra curricular music groups including youth orchestra, choir, djembe drumming, string quartet, jazz band and playing in my school's battle of the bands.
At 13, I came 2nd in my school's talent show by covering The Scientist by Coldplay solo and I even played keys in a tribute band called Abba Quo.
During my gap year, I started helping with the worship music at my home church in Eastleigh. I’ve sung, played piano, played violin, worship led and led the worship planning team for our church.
At the start of the first lockdown due to Covid in 2020, whilst in a season of recovery, I found myself asking “What now?” and “What's next?”
It was during this time, that a good friend of mine sent me a link to an Indie Artist songwriting live on YouTube. It quickly became one of the highlights of my lockdown weeks and it made me realise that I’d been writing songs for a while, but I had always been too nervous to share them with anyone else.
At the start of 2021, I set myself a challenge. To write, record, produce and release 10 of my own original songs throughout the year.
I self-produced 4 original tracks and released them from home, but I still have another 6 left to go.
