About RavenRain

Hey there, 

RavenRain here, I was born and raised in a small village in the middle of nowhere in the north of Italy. Music has always been my biggest passion and my ' life-saving jacket' as I like to say while dealing with severe mental health conditions. I learnt basic piano and guitar and attended a music school where I focused on vocal studies for years and I also began writing my own music, however, I saw songwriting as a hobby rather than a potential career as I just thought I wasn't talented enough. In 2015 I moved to London to study media and developed an interest in radio and podcasting, and I kind of drifted away from music. Towards the end of 2018, I realised something was missing in my life and I began writing my own music again. In 2019 I recorded a demo of my first single, Hiding in the dark which is basically a song about my experience with depression. I then released it in summer 2020. 

In 2021 I released 4 more singles and my first EP, ONSET.  My latest release MOVING ON is a sassy and savage song, which encourage the listeners to let go (or move on) from toxic friendships. My sound is a mix of different genres, and no song of mine is like the others...I always thought a bit out of the box when it comes to everything in life, so it is only natural to me to do the same with my music. Mental health and sharing empowering messages is essential to me, I did mention I have some kind of mental health condition but guess what? I have a long term illness as well, which took me extremely close to death a couple of times. All the different experiences I had in my life so far are inspirations for my music, I believe I am not the only one to have experienced some sort of traumatic events or to go through some hard times in life (because let's just be honest life isn't easy nowadays innit?!) so I just want people to feel empowered and also feel like they are not alone.
