About Northern Knights

Northern Knights formed in 2011 after Anthony Kuczaj (guitarist & frontman) joined friends Craig Hall (drummer) and Jim Giblin (lead guitar) for an impromptu Jam Session one day after college. A few short months later the group made their storming debut... at Anthony’s 21st Birthday. It was the first time family and friends had heard Anthony sing.

Bassist Chris Slack was last to join the fold. The four-piece set to crafting their own sound, steeped in the music of their Manchester hometown whilst drawing on wider rock influences: They have been praised by Scruff of the Neck Records for “their song writing and ability to create a sound much bigger than you expect”.

A successful series of gigs followed, with slots at legendary venues such as Night & Day, Dub Academy and Dry Live as well as more unorthodox shows, including being one of only a handful of live bands to ever perform at Manchester’s Trafford Shopping Centre!

The group released their first record, the descriptively-named EP-01, in August 2014. They returned to the studio in January 2015 - the result was a self-titled selection of four anthemic which were released later that year. Armed with this powerful new record and an energetic live show, Northern Knights are set to become another name synonymous with the music of Manchester.
