Musicians for Hire are made up of singer Carmel and guitarist James. Carmel, a graduate of Leeds College of Music, has been singing since she was a child. Her accolades include performing in the Queens Golden Jubilee, singing the backing vocals for Aled Jones as part of the Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Choir, which also saw her sing for Condelleza Rice and Jack Straw during the Liverpool Capitol of Culture celebrations. She met partner James once she has graduated from LCoM and they decided to form a musical duo. James, a self taught musician has been playing and performing since his youth. James has a keen interest in music of other cultures and spends his time collecting, and learning to play, instruments from around the world. James also composes music across many styles from grunge to electronic.
