About Kalli Ashton

Kalli Ashton is an emerging pop country artist, ready to bring her latest material to all you music lovers!

Kalli began singing and performing from a very young age but has very recently taken a serious role in the development of her music career. Having been brought up into a very musical family, Kalli knew that she wanted to strive for a career in music. Kalli has an American background that forms the roots to her love of country music, and with a Cherokee Indian heritage, country music is clearly very close to her heart.

After having performed alongside her Father in his country music gigs, Kalli took the step to performing solo only last year through taking her chance at the Open Mic UK competition where she was lucky enough to reach the Area Final! A huge achievement for Kalli's first solo performance. Even though Kalli didn't reach the very final stage of the competition, it didn't knock her back, this experience actually pushed her to work even harder towards her musical dreams and ambitions.

Kalli later joined an indie folk band, where she was able to gain gigging experience through various living room gigs and even competitions such as OBS Unplugged. As fun as this was for Kalli, she missed her country music and knew that she was ready work on her own music.

Kalli then went on to begin building her songwriting skills and recently co-wrote her first ever Debut Single 'Worth Your While'. Her single has attracted much attention through the likes of BBC Introducing, as well as being aired on every BBC Local Radio station across the country courtesy of the Mark Forrest Show, twice so far!

After having such a good response from her single 'Worth Your While', Kalli has began work on her first ever EP 'Wings' that is due to be released later this year.
