Danish singer/songwriter Jakob Welding once got lost on a plane and landed in London where he’s been living ever since. He sporadically slaps his hands on his piano until a song starts taking shape, then drinks his 15th cup of coffee of the day whilst thinking about how lush the world is... and then writes a delightfully melancholic song about something completely different.
Like any young boy, Jakob got into music because his kindergarten girlfriend started taking lessons. *SPOILER* their relationship didn’t last, but the music did. In 2004 he went on his first European tour, (like most 13-year-old kids), which became the start of the lifestyle of a struggling and poor artist.
Quickly getting bored made Jakob pick up several instruments including piano, guitar, saxophone, etc., which turned out to be quite handy when composing music, which he also does for other artists and films.
Jakob’s sound spans several genres, but often with a distinguished 80s- and cinematic vibe.Having just been on tour in China for 14 months, Jakob is now finally back working on new music, and planning on dropping a lot of it very soon! So keep an eye out!

2025 is the year of my debut album! But I want you to be a part of this journey!We've had singles, but it's time to create a whole whole story, from A to Z!
As I'm sure you know; storytelling is the essence of my music. From the big emotions, to the descriptive images, and now it's time for a new story, a new album and a new sound!Those of you who've followed me from way back when. Even before "prisoner" was released. You will know that I have a soft spot for the 70/80s glam rock/pop, and I have had a lot of fun with my Synth, and I'm ready to bring you the same Jakob you know, but with a tad of up-tempo, bit of silliness, and cheekiness. Story driven songs as you know them, but with new exciting sounds and a whole lot of energy.
Now, you're probably asking how you can become a part of this journey?
- yeah I thought so - as you probably have guessed, studio rentals, track mastering, artwork, music videos, promotion and all of that is pretty expensive. We will therefore try to raise money, so we can pay everyone involved, because every artist deserves to be paid for their work, and for each £1 we can raise, we can increase the overall quality of this project a tiny bit together. And I would love for you to get involved, book a Q&A, DM me, watch the behind the scenes footages etc. and let's start the journey of "A Cosmic Ballet"So let's all get together and do what we can to create this together!
