I certainly have not “arrived” as a songwriter but I’ve learned a thing or two along the way, and I have won several songwriting awards. In 2018, I was a finalist in the 19th Annual Great American Song Contest for the song titled “In the Secret Place”, and in 2019 was third place in the 1st Quarter 17th Annual CM United (https://www.christiansongwriting.com/) song-writing contest for the song titled “End of Your Story”, and in 2020, I received an outstanding achievement in songwriting (top 5) in the 21st Annual Great American Song Contest as well as winning the local talent music search for Praise 106.5 radio station for the song titled “the Breaker”.

I will take a good critical listen to your song and review the lyrics and offer a practical critique that will help strengthen your song.

Of course, you are free to take or leave any of the feedback or suggestions. My aim is not to co-write your song, but to introduce or remind you of some key concepts that are critical to writing a good solid song.

Our songs are like "babies" that we get attached to. Sometimes it can be hard to let someone else critique our babies, but an outside objectionable look can help to point out areas of strength and weakness in our songs.
