We will have a 1 hour personalized singing lesson via video call (or in person if you are here locally and once it is safe from a COVID standpoint). My goal is to help you improve your range, endurance, stamina, resonance, breath control, vocal strength and vocal quality by training you how to find a balance between airflow and intrinsic muscle resistance, in a healthy manner.
About Me:
What are your qualifications?
I studied with a classical opera teacher for about three years back in 2003-2006. Then I began to take singing lessons with a few certified Speech Level singing teachers from 2009-2013. I started studying voice with Spencer Welch beginning in 2011. I and those around me began to notice considerable improvements once I switched teachers. Previously, I ran my own vocal studio as a teacher and achieved Level 2 certification with the Institute of Vocal Advancement. My students have many testimonials of how studying with me has helped improved and strengthened their voice.
What have you struggled with in your own voice?
Before I didn’t have a developed chest voice and because of this I really struggled to have a smooth voice from the bottom to the top. I often sang all my high notes in “falsetto”. Because I didn’t have any vibrato, I avoided holding notes for a long period of time. Now, I can sing much smoother from the bottom of my voice to the top of my voice, and I can actually hold notes longer now because vibrato actually comes out.
