HERITAGE, HYMNS OF OUR FAITH is the result of a common vision shared between two musicians, two friends. Sebastian Demrey & Jimmy Lahaie want to present their own musical heritage by revisiting some of the most beautiful hymns of the past centuries.

Wishing to keep a more organic sound, the Canadian duo decides to use acoustic guitars, mandolin, acoustic piano, string section, percussions and an upright bass. The project also features fellow artist Genevieve Falleur and a renowned Montreal cellist, Carla Antoun who notably recorded albums for Celine Dion.

“Our goal with this project is to highlight the lyrical and musical treasures that have impacted our faith, of our parent’s and the generations before us. Although we have a feeling our music will appeal to the older generations, we hope to reach the younger believers as well so that they can also discover these wonderful hymns.  »

Among the selected titles include I Surrender All, What a friend we have in Jesus, Amazing Grace, Nearer My God to Thee, Blessed Assurance and many more.
