About Donna Akodu

In her mid-teens Donna encountered the Lord Jesus Christ and gave her heart to Him. He released from within her a heavenly voice and there began her life journey with the Lord and a ministry of worship in song that emanates from her deep love and passion for Him and the desire to share the wonder of knowing God with others.

It is a joy to experience the powerful, fervent worship coming from Donna’s diminutive frame as she declares prophetically the Lordship of Jesus to bring freedom and life to many through the songs the Lord has given her.

Donna loves the scriptures - the written Word of God - especially the Psalms, and many of her songs declare these truths. She also has a unique ability to be spontaneous and often will sing a ‘new song’ in times of worship.

Donna's music and songs have opened the way for her to minister in worship to the Lord in the United Kingdom, Europe, the USA and other parts of the world with Noel Robinson as part of Nu Image.

She has featured on a number of Christian television programs and radio broadcasts in the UK. More recently, Donna has lead worship and been the worship/vocal coordinator for the Kingdom Worship Movement (KWM) events in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester.

The key to Donna’s appeal is not that she loves worship but that she is passionate about her heavenly Father, the subject of her worship. In her own words, “Worship is not just a Sunday experience, it is a life experience”.
